Taghazout is a fishing village on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, north of the city of Agadir. It’s known for its surf beaches. Killer Point is a powerful point break. To the south, La Source is named for the fresh water that bubbles up from the rocks. Anchor Point has barrel waves. Cafes and surf shops line the main street. Inland, Paradise Valley, on the Tamraght River, is a palm-lined gorge with pools and waterfalls.

Make Life Skate Life is a non-profit organization founded in 2013. They collaborate with skateboarding communities around the world, connecting them with professional skatepark builders to create community-built skateparks. They have worked on skatepark projects in India, Bolivia, Jordan, Myanmar, and Ethiopia have been successful through local community involvement from start to finish, providing local communities with the tools, materials, knowledge, and inspiration to create their own projects.

Now these Volunteers are in Morocco working on the Taghazout Skatepark.

The professional skatepark builders that volunteer on Make Life Skate Life projects donate their time and skills, not only to create a skatepark, but to share their knowledge in the art of skatepark construction with skateboarding communities around the world.

In Morocco, Ali Tamara (Founder and Owner at Tamara Skateshop) is a lead organiser. He has been working in Moroccan skateboarding scene for more than 8 years.
