About Africa Skateboarding Diary
Africa Skateboarding Diary ("ASD", "we", "our", or "us") is a digital magazine, community platform, and content publication dedicated to documenting the skateboarding movement across Africa. It is operated by Zanziholics Digital Agency Company Limited, a company registered in Zanzibar, United Republic of Tanzania.
ASD operates the following platforms:

Use of This Website
ASD's website and blog are free to access. No account is required to read articles, watch videos, or browse content. By visiting and using our platforms you agree to use them lawfully and responsibly.
You must not:
- Use our platforms for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
- Reproduce, copy, or distribute our content without written permission
- Post or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, defamatory, or abusive

- Impersonate any person, organisation, or ASD team member

Content & Submissions
The ASD blog and website are free to read. By submitting content — whether articles, photos, videos, or event listings — you agree to the following:
- You confirm you are the original creator of the content or have the rights to submit it
- You grant ASD a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit, and distribute your content across our platforms and social media channels
- ASD may edit submitted content for clarity, length, style, or appropriateness before publishing
- ASD may reject any submission at our discretion, without obligation to provide a reason
- Full credit will always be given to the original creator when content is published
- You retain ownership of your original work
Submitting content to ASD does not guarantee publication. All submissions are reviewed by our editorial team before going live.

Photo & Video Copyright
All original content published on ASD platforms is the intellectual property of Africa Skateboarding Diary or the credited original creator. When you submit photos or videos:
- You confirm you are the photographer or videographer, or have explicit permission from the rights holder
- You consent to ASD publishing the content on our website, social media, and future print or digital editions
- For video submissions intended for our YouTube channel, you provide explicit consent for ASD to upload and manage the video under the ASD YouTube channel
- You confirm that any music or third-party content in your video is either original, royalty-free, or properly licensed
- ASD will always credit the photographer or filmmaker
Third parties wishing to use any content published on ASD platforms must request written permission by emailing legal@africaskateboardingdiary.com.

Membership
The ASD Members Portal is free to join. We offer three membership types: Individual Skater, Skate Club or Association, and Organisation or NGO. By registering:
- You must be at least 13 years old. Members under 18 should have parental or guardian consent
- You will provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Your public profile — including your name, country, bio, skate style, and social links — will be visible to all visitors of the ASD member directory
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You will not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person or organisation
ASD may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, submit false or harmful content, or engage in abusive behaviour. Members may delete their account at any time by contacting legal@africaskateboardingdiary.com.

Newsletter
- Subscription is always free and voluntary
- You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email
- We will never share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes
- Members who register on the members portal are automatically added to the newsletter list and may unsubscribe at any time

Events
The ASD Events platform lists both ASD-organised events and community-submitted events.
Community-submitted events:
- Listed in good faith based on information provided by the organiser
- ASD does not independently verify all event details and accepts no liability for inaccuracies, cancellations, or changes
- Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings
- ASD reserves the right to remove any community event listing at our discretion
ASD-organised events:
- ASD may cancel, postpone, or modify any ASD-organised event at any time
- Participants attend at their own risk
- ASD may require participants to complete a liability waiver before participating
- ASD accepts no responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage arising from participation
Skateboarding is a physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury. All participants — at ASD events and community events — participate at their own risk.

Advertising & Sponsorships
- Sponsored content and paid advertising will always be clearly labelled
- ASD editorial decisions are made independently of advertising relationships
- Advertisers and sponsors do not influence the editorial content of ASD
- ASD does not endorse or guarantee the products, services, or claims of any advertiser

Scoring Tool
The ASD Live Scoring Tool at score.africaskateboardingdiary.com is a free tool for running skateboarding competitions. It is provided free of charge for use by event organisers, skateboarding clubs, and associations across Africa.
- The scoring tool is provided on an "as is" basis with no guarantee of uptime or availability
- ASD accepts no liability for scoring errors, technical failures, or disputes arising from use of the tool
- Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of scores entered and results published
- Access is granted on request — contact events@africaskateboardingdiary.com
- ASD reserves the right to revoke access at any time
